Welcome
Welcome to the CIRROPS 2012 Ops Weekend. Registration opens February 6, 2012.
The CIRROPS Organizing Committee has put together a weekend of operations that includes 9 great layouts for you to choose from. The participating layouts are
- Pete Pedigo’s New Unionville & Western. His layout scenery looks real. That’s because it is. Pete operates a 71/2-inch scale railroad on 48 Acres of land in the rolling hills of southern Indiana near Bloomington.
- Dave Petty’s Midwest Central is CIRROPS’s “new” layout, or more properly “a newly discovered layout”. Dave is an x-railroader, who has created an N-scale layout that runs flawlessly and has beautiful scenery.
- Terry Gilmore’s Inland Pacific, which will have its last operating sessions during CIRROPS 2012. His railroad has the authenticity of one who has worked on a real railroad (Terry is completing a career in railroading.).
The six other participating layouts are “veterans” of past CIRROPS Ops Weekends: Jim Munn’s Chicago & Northwestern, Christie Division, Mike Duncan’s Milwaukee Road, Southeastern Division, Bob Lehnen’s Chicago & Eastern Illinois in the 1950s, Chad Boas’ Monon, Bob Talbot’s Louisville & Nashville, and Chuck Tuttle’s Salt Creek & Eastern.
See our Participating Layouts page for information on the nine participating layouts.
The CIRROPS 2012 Organizing Committee and I look forward to seeing you in Indianapolis the weekend of March 30 to April 1 having fun running trains.
