The setting is southeastern Ohio in the early sixties, with operations on the B&O, Parkersburg Subdivision, centered on the minor division yard at Athens , Ohio . At Athens there are live interchanges between the B&O, NYC and C&O. The town of Belpre is modeled where there is a large Shell plastic plant as well as an Ashland Chemical lamp black plant. Dundas , OH features live interchange between B&O and C&O as well as local industries.
SPACE LIMITATION! FOR YOUR SAFETY AND COMFORT, BE AWARE THAT ONE AISLEWAY IN THE LAYOUT SPACE HAS 15 INCHES OF WIDTH AT CHEST AND BELLY LEVEL FOR A DISTANCE OF SEVERAL FEET. HEIGHT CLEARANCE IS JUST UNDER 6 FEET IN A FEW ISOLATED LOCATIONS.
