The Participating Layouts page is designed to give you all the information you need to select your layouts in one place. You can gather all this information for selecting your preferred layouts by looking at each data matrix to learn about the participating layouts.
CIRROPS Layout Matrix: The CIRROPS Layout Matrix link allows you to compare layouts on such characteristics as the car forwarding system used, scale, adherence to a prototype, etc.
Op Session Matrix: This matrix shows the day and times when a particular layouts will be operating. If you want to know what layouts have sessions on Friday evening, you will find that information here. Also, this matrix provides links to each layout page, so that you can obtain more detailed information about each layout. Each layout page has a description of the layout and pictures.
Distance/Drive Times Matrix and Regional Map: Look at these two items, the Distance/Drive Times Matrix and the Regional Map, to help you understand the geography of the CIRROPS layouts. In the past some our participants have expressed the desire to avoid long drive times between layouts on Saturday. The Distance/Drive Times Matrix provides approximate distances and drive times between all participating layouts. The Region Map shows where the clusters of layouts are located. CIRROPS 2012 has five clusters of layouts: Bloomington, Indy-SE, Indy-west, Indy-NE, and Lafayette.
CIRROPS limits drive times between layouts on Saturday to a maximum of 60 miles or 60 minutes. The exception is any combination of layouts in the Indy-SW or Indy-west areas and Bloomington. The quality and options offered by these layouts are such that some of our guests are willing to drive farther on Saturday to operate on them.

*The numbers in the matrix are miles and estimated drive times (in minutes). Note that the distances and times have been rounded up to the nearest 5 increment. The drive times have been “padded” to allow time for you to get lost and thereby tour beautiful Indiana.
